Ford is proud of its 13-year National Sponsorship of the Komen Race for the Cure. To date, Ford has dedicated more than $90 million to the cause. Our commitment runs well beyond raising funds. We know that awareness leads to early detection and early detection saves lives, so we are also working to increase breast cancer awareness--last year creating over one billion media impressions. We also encourage our employees to participate. More than 50,000 Ford employees have participated in The Race and thousands of our dealers support the race in their area.

Unlike most dealers, Capital Ford performs a 115-point inspection carried out by our factory trained Service Department personnel on every vehicle we sell. The 115-point inspection examines the following:

Vehicle History

-       VIN's match on vehicle and paperwork, service bulletins and recalls checked.  

-       Scheduled maintenance performed.

Road Test

-       engine, transmission/transaxle, steering and suspension, brakes/ABS, accessories

Vehicle Exterior

-       body panels and bumpers, doors, hood, deck lid, tailgate, grill, trim and roof rack, glass, outside mirrors, wipers, exterior lights

Vehicle Interior

-       air bag and safety belts, audio and alarm systems, heat/vent/AC/defog/defrost, interior amenities, carpet, trim, mats, seats, moon-roof, convertible top, windows and door locks

Luggage Compartment

-       carpet, trim, cargo net, light, weather-stripping, spare tire and jack

Under Hood

-       engine control system, fluids, engine, cooling system, fuel system, electrical system

FORD'S NEW DURATEC 3.5L V-6 NAMED TO WARD'S "10 BEST ENGINES"
4.6L V-8 GRABS TOP HONORS AGAIN.
Ford is one of only two automakers with more than one engine on the list. Both the Duratec 3.5L V-6 and the 4.6L, 3-valve V-8 received the highest praise from Ward's. The new Duratec 3.5L V-6 is standard in the Ford Edge and the 4.6L V-8 is a Ford workhorse powering the Ford Mustang GT, Shelby GT, in addition to the Ford Explorer and Explorer Sport Trac.
